Nearly a month since the 2009 season of Saracens Hertfordshire Cricket League (SHCL) started All three participating teams have fared extremely well in their respective leagues. MPBCC 1st XI lead by Gareth Thomason who moved into SHCL Division 5 this year is currently sitting pretty at the top of Div. 5 league table with 5 wins and 1 draw in the 6 matches that they have played so far. MPBCC 2nd XI were promoted to SHCL Div. 10 last year is lead by Tony Nightingale, are currently placed at number 3. In the 6 matches that they have played till now they have managed to secure 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. On the other hand MPBCC 3rd XI lead by Dave Halsey started their SHCL Div 12 season pretty well but seems to have lost their way a bit. With 2 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses, in the 6 matches they have played till now, team looks to be struggling a little and have been wandering in the middle of the SHCL Div 12 league table. If weather gods keep their blessings just like they have done till now, we will witness an extremely competitive game of cricket in coming weeks. |
