MPBCC 1st XI Crush GWR Trailfinders

MPBCC 1st XI played their warm-up match against GWR Trailfinders 1st XI at their Bushey home ground and scored a thumping win in a high scoring match.

GWR 1st XI's captain Tanuj Danee won the toss and decided to bat. Impressive innings from the middle order batsmen Andre Viljoen 66 and Ray Heath 60, and their century stand ensured GWR total of 208 for 6 in the stipulated 45 overs.

MPBCC batsmen went about chasing the score in a very professional manner with key contributions coming from Andy, Dave Long & Richie Nutall, all of them scored impressive half centuries. Andy's industrious opening innings and Richies batting with controlled aggression were the key highlight of MPBCC run chase. Nutall's batting took an explosive turn when he picked Samar Pankanti for four sixes on consecutive deliveries of his first over.

In the end MPBCC won the match with four wickets in hand and one over to spare.
